“2,4,6,8 Who Do We Appreciate? Not The King Not The Queen Only The TE PUNA TEAM!!!”

On Sunday 15th of March, some of our year 5 and 6
Te Puna School students battled it out against 24 other schools at the annual Top School Competition at Gate Pa School. I was in the cheerleading team.
Cheerleaders were yelling at the top of their lungs and the top school teams were doing their best to bring the trophy back for their school.
Each team had 12 players (6 girls and 6 boys), ours were; Anna Tingey, Vyaan Kakau, Maddison Rennie,
Jaysha Tippins, Kiriwai Hika, Jazzlee Thomas, Jack
Wilson, Andrew Somerfield, Finn Riodran, Ben Mollison, Storme Sager and Jaz Jones.
The slippery slide looked very steep and some people got cuts and scrapes down their backs. Ouch! The activities looked fun and challenging.
I really enjoyed watching and cheering on our team!
Our team did very well. I think Top School is a great way to practise teamwork and learn skills. I also enjoyed the rides and food!!!
Te Puna School came 8th out of 25 schools!!!!
